I started working with Jack and Sarah Doherty in 2016. They were looking for someone to build them a website and design a large colour printed book. We quickly settled on the web platform Squarespace and haven’t looked back. In the first series of Rick Stein’s Cornwall, Jack was featured with Rick and the exposure brought much attention to his online presence.

Branding and signage in Trinity House Studio and Gallery

Besides signage and promotional printed materials, Sarah and I work together to create the Kiln Diary, a regular newsletter sent out to subscribers. Social media is an important factor in our modern lives. Between Instagram, Facebook and Email Newsletters, the events and news of Jack and his collections can be shared immediately with the world. The number of subscribers and followers have grown steadily over the last few years.

Using e-commerce on Squarespace, a carefully co-ordinated campaign is planned including populating the shop. This involves photographing all the products which Sarah takes care of. Next she sends me all the information and I create the new shop collection online. This popup shop opens at a given time twice a year. It is literally like popping a champagne cork when it opens. There are collectors from all over the world.

It was such a pleasure to work with Fi on designing both our website and book. It was a special project and with her depth of experience she was able to translate all our ideas and our vision into reality with care, attention to detail and a truly professional approach. Thank you.
